Medical Certificate of Cause of Death
If the death occurred at home, call the GP immediately. If in hospital, the Bereavement Office will guide you. You need this certificate before you can register the death.
Registering the Death
You must register the death within 5 days at the Register Office in the area where the person died. Take the Medical Certificate with you.
